RJ Sherwood is the founder of Sherwood Recruits, a platform dedicated to guiding young athletes through the complex world of college baseball recruiting. With years of firsthand experience navigating different programs and levels of competition, he brings an insider’s perspective to help players maximize their opportunities and find the right fit for their future.

Over the course of his career, he has played six years of collegiate baseball at four different schools: Oakland University, Kellogg Community College, Youngstown State University, and the University of North Alabama. Along the way, he competed in the Division II JUCO World Series and also faced off against some of the top programs in the nation, including LSU, Wake Forest, Auburn, Tennessee, Georgia Tech, Alabama, Kansas State, Louisville, Baylor and more.

He has shared the field with and against players who went on to compete in both the minor and major leagues, giving him a unique understanding of what it takes to perform at the highest levels of the game. His career connected him with over 250 teammates across NCAA Division I, Division II, Community College, and NAIA baseball — a network that shaped his knowledge of how diverse the recruiting journey can be.

Now, through Sherwood Recruits, RJ channels his playing experience and passion for the game into mentoring the next generation of athletes. His mission is to equip players and families with the tools, insights, and strategies they need to succeed, both on and off the field.
